HERB GROWING WORKSHOP

Growing Herbs Indoors: How To Grow Herbs Indoors | Gardening Know How

Learn to grow herbs in any space!

Discover just how easy—and rewarding—it is to grow fresh herbs wherever you are. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to successfully grow herbs in containers, raised beds, in combination with vegetable gardens, or tucked right into your existing perennial landscaping. Herbs are some of the most resilient, adaptable plants, thriving even in partial shade, and they bring beauty, pollinators, and immediate flavor to your life. Learn about perennial, self-seeding, and annual herbs that you can grow yourself, and explore the basics of harvesting, preserving, and storing herbs for use in cooking and making tea. Enjoy a refreshing herbal tea drink and take home two herb starts, with choices of rosemary, oregano and chamomile. All materials provided. Workshop will meet in the Center for Rural History but will also include going outside to our garden.
