FIELD TRIPS

The Friends Schumacher Farm offer engaging and educational field trips for schools, daycares, homeschool groups, or other youth groups. Rooted in history and nature, our programs provide hands-on learning experiences that connect children with early 20th-century farm life, environmental stewardship, and local heritage. Whether exploring our historic farmstead, participating in interactive activities, or enjoying guided nature walks, students of all ages will gain a deeper appreciation for rural life and the natural world. Come learn and explore with us!

Learn more about our offerings on our Field Trip Flyer here. If you'd like to discuss further and schedule a trip, please reach out to Nelle at info@schumacherfarmpark.org.

Partnership with Vera Court Community Center

Each week during the school year, volunteers from the Friends of Schumacher Farm host free field trips for children from the Vera Court Community Center on Madison’s Northside. These young learners, many of whom come from marginalized communities with limited access to green spaces, are given the opportunity to connect with nature, explore farm life, and engage in hands-on learning in a safe and welcoming environment. Programs like this are made possible through the generosity of our community. Donations help us continue offering meaningful outdoor experiences to children who need them most - click here to send your support.
