WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP

Join Emily Marie Watercolors for all-level Watercolor Workshops! These workshops are inside the Center for Rural History. There won’t be drinks or snacks for sale during the workshops, but please feel free to bring your own.

Swiss Cows: Tuesday, July 7th 6-8 pm

In this 2 hour class for all levels, you’ll learn how to paint the perfect piece for any Wisconsin wall: some cow art! We’ll look at different techniques to paint: white clouds in a sky, distant tree line, grasses, and bold shadows on your main subjects. All professional supplies included to paint this 8×10 inch painting. The Swiss Cow outline is printed directly onto your watercolor paper, so no drawing is required!

$48 per person

Paint your Cat: Wednesday, September 9th 6-8 pm

Learn how to paint your cat using watercolors! We will start by outlining our cats with a black, waterproof pen and then layer on colors using a wet on dry technique. At the end, we will add a colorful background using a wet on wet technique.

But you don't know how to draw your cat? NO PROBLEM! I will come to class with your cat drawn on your paper! That's right- this isn't a drawing class- it's a painting class! Let's not waste time on drawing! Perfect for beginners. 10% of your class fee will go directly to Madison Cat Project.

$65 per person
