MEET THE CHICKENS

Join one of our knowledgeable volunteer Chicken Wranglers for a free Meet the Chickens workshop! You'll learn all about chickens and get to feed them yourself while they wander freely around the farmyard. These workshops are great for children and families. No registration required; drop in - meet at the chicken coop in the historic farmyard. 

Dates: June 17, July 15 and August 19 2024 from 4-5 pm

The chickens arrive in spring and visitors are welcome to visit them whenever the park is open (7 days a week, sunrise-sunset). Come in the morning and hear our rooster's beautiful crow. Please do not feed or disturb them. Thank you for respecting our our feathery friends!

About our Chicken Wranglers

Volunteers take care of the chickens and in return they get to harvest and keep the eggs! Positions are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis and are in high demand. Please fill out our volunteer intake form to inquire.
