Depression Era Pottery

Learn why pottery was an important component of rural farm life in the 1920s and 1930s. The presenter, Dwain Schroeder, will display the different types of pottery of that era and discuss how and why each piece was used on the farm. He will also talk about why pottery should still be a staple in every household.

Dwain is a local farmer from the Waunakee area and has first-hand knowledge of pottery and associated farm practices and uses. He has extensive knowledge and many stories to share about growing up in rural Wisconsin before modern conveniences.
